Lacquer jingasa, Meiji period Japan 19th Century. Decorated with six gilded Kaji kamon; paper mulberry crest. Red lacquer interior, Iron rim. 

Kaji kamon: Shinto association with the mulberry tree led to the Kaji emblem being adoption as a family crest.

Condition: general chips to lacquer, small hole to lip.
